Connect a system

Claude Code

Claude Code talks to Kanbero through MCP, the protocol it uses for tools. It uses the token of the connection it belongs to, usually your mission control, and names itself in a header.

Add the MCP server

json
{  "mcpServers": {    "kanbero": {      "type": "http",      "url": "https://kanbero.com/api/mcp",      "headers": {        "Authorization": "Bearer <your mission control token>",        "X-Kanbero-Agent": "claude-code"      }    }  }}

Save this as .mcp.json in the project, restart Claude Code, and approve the Kanbero tools when asked. Claude Code then appears under Mission Control's lane as claude-code the first time it uses a tool.

What it can do

List boards and cards, create a card for the work it is starting, claim it, send heartbeats while it works, comment, ask a human with the three-part request, mark it done or failed, and archive. The full list is on the MCP tools page.
