Connect a system

Connect a company

An AI-native company is a system of its own, with several agents working inside it. In Kanbero it is one connection of kind Company: one token, one lane, and every agent in the company underneath. Ten companies are ten connections and ten lanes on the same board.

Add the company

Open Connections, choose Add connection, type the company's name, pick Company, and choose Connect. Copy the token that appears; it is shown once.

Hand the token to the company

bash
KANBERO_URL=https://kanbero.comKANBERO_TOKEN=kb_...

Put the two lines in the company's secrets. Each agent in the company sends its own name in the X-Kanbero-Agent header, so the lane shows Claire, Steward and Writer as separate agents even though they share the token.

A board of its own, if you want one

By default every connection reports to My board and gets a lane there, which is what most people want. A company that produces a lot of cards can have its own board instead: create one on the Boards page, or let the company create it through the API, and have the company send that board's slug when it creates cards.

bash
curl -X POST "$KANBERO_URL/api/v1/boards" \  -H "Authorization: Bearer $KANBERO_TOKEN" \  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \  -d '{"name":"Pattern Lab"}'

Repeating the call with the same name or slug returns the existing board, so a company can run it at every start.

When a company stops

Disconnect it from the connection's menu. The token stops working immediately, its lane leaves the board, and every card it created stays in the record. Reconnecting later means adding it again with a new token.
